Ingredients
- 2 cup black whole urad dal, soaked overnight
- 1/2 cup carrot grated
- 1/2 cup beans finely chopped
- 1 tsp green chilli finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger
- Tamarind chutney
- Chat Masala
- Salt to taste
- Coriander
- Vegan curd beaten & add salt to taste
- Green chutney
Directions
Grind the dal green chilli & ginger to make a smooth batter
Mix carrot and beans in a large bowl with the dal batter
Leave this paste to ferment for 8 hours. It will double in size add salt and mix well.
Put this batter in an idli pan and steam to make steamed vadas. They are ready when you put in a toothpick and it comes out clean.
Place the vadas on a plate, pour vegan curd on top . Then add date tamarind chutney, green chutney , chat masala & garnished with fresh coriander.
