Ingredients
2 cups overnight soaked dal
1 big Tomato finely chopped
1 big onion finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger garlic chilli paste
4 clove powder (laung)
1 tbsp freshly crushed coriander seeds
1/2 tsp jeera (cumin)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric (haldi)
Pinch of hing
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Lemon juice
Directions
- Cook the dal in pressure cooker with 3 cups of water, clove powder, salt and haldi.
- Heat the pan and add jeera, coriander seeds and hing and lightly roast.
- Add ginger paste, onions, tomatoes and salt
- Saute for 5 to 7 mins
- Add chilli powder
- Once cooked add the cooked dal and let it cook for 10 to 15 min
- Garnish with coriander
- Serve it with love and lemon juice
