Ingredients
100 gm chickpeas soaked for 6 hours and boiled
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 carrots diced and steamed
¼ cup sesame butter
2-3 cloves garlic
1 tsp red chilli powder or as per taste
1-2 tsp ginger minced
1 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp cumin
2-3 ice cubes
Directions
- Add the chickpeas, carrot, ginger and garlic to a blender and pulse 5-7 times until everything is broken up.
- Then add the ice cubes, sesame butter, lemon juice, spices and ¼ cup of chickpeas water and process until desired consistency is reached.
- Add more water as is needed and extra chilli powder if you like it really spicy!
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with almonds and chilli flakes.
- Note: the ice cubes is to make it creamy, since no oil is used in the recipe.
